Caption: Czechoslovakia native Rev. George J Torok swam his way to freedom in 1950 by swimming across the Moravia River to Austria after an imprisonment by the Stalinist government for making a film critical of a massacre of Polish soldiers at the end of World War II. Torok is now director of the Catholic Communications Center in New York.
