1970 Press Photo Morton Sterling Uniroyal flyash

Description
Caption: He has his hands full but, Morton Sterling, center, director of the Wayne County Air Pollution Control, isn't complaining. It's flyash, and until recently, it came from the Uniroyal smoke stacks in the background at the rate of 16 tons every day. Uniroyal officials, Cliff Chatterson, left, production manager of Uniroyal Tire Company, and Chris Quirk, right, Detroit plant manager are as pleased as Sterling. They have just completed a joint air pollution control program to help clean up the air over Detroit's eastside riverfront. The truck in the background is actually loaded with 16 tons of flyash and is used to show how much as going into Detroit's air.

The front and back of this photograph are pictured below.
