Caption: Noble Travis, vice president of the Detroit Trust company and a member of the United Foundation speakers' bureau, will speak on recruiting 20,000 volunteers to solicit fund for the 1950 Torch Drive at a meeting of the Detroit Council of Churchers, Friday, Sept. 8. The meeting will be held at 11:30 a.m. at the central branch of the YWCA, 2230 Witherell. Volunteers may off their services for the the Torch Drive by calling Woodward 5-7100. The drive will run from Oct. 17 through Nov. 9.
