Caption: Washington, Nov. 12 - Lines Up Against McCarthy--Sen. John C. Stennis (D-MS) poses tonight after an angry exchange on the senate floor with Sen. Joseph McCarthy (R-Wis). Stennis who earlier accused McCarthy of pouring "slush and slime" on the good name of the senate, told McCarthy he "ought to prove" the Watkins Censure Committee is the "unwitting handmaiden of the communist party" or "say it's false." Stennis, a former judge, is a member of the Spec. Committee which recommended censure of the junior senator from Wisconsin.
