Description
Caption: MONSIGNOR ALOYSIUS STEPINAC, Archbishop of Zagreb freed from a Yugoslevian Communist jail last year, was one of the 24 new Cardinels of the Roman Catholic Church named today by Pope Pius XII. Archbishop Stepinac, now living in the local parish house at Krasic, his native town near Zagreb, was conditionally released from jail by Tito's government last December after serving five years of a 16-year sentence for alleged collaboration with Nazis during World War II.
