1953 Press Photo bloch rosenberg appeal

Caption: BLOCH LEAVES PAPERS AT GATE--Emanuel Bloch, Chief Counsel for the Rosenbergs, hands some papers to a White House policeman late today after being refused permission to enter the executive mansion grounds. The lawyer said he wanted to make a new appearl for the lives of the atom spy team directly to President Eisenhower. Bloch left his papers, including a letter from Mrs. Ethel Rosenberg, with the gate guard. A short time later the President rejected the new appeal.
