Caption: DETROIT, Feb 6--ANNOUNCES AMERICAN MOTORS FIRST DIVIDEND SINCE 1965--Roy D. Chapin Jr., American Motors board chairman, announces at stockholders meeting in Detroit Wednesday AMC will pay their first dividends to stockholders in eight-and-one-half years. American Motors was the only auto manufacturer to post a sales gain last month compared to a year ago.
