Caption: NEW YORK, June 13--CONFUSED AT TRIAL--Mrs. Whittaker Chambers became confused under cross-examination in the Alger Hiss perjury trial today and Judge Kaufman gave her a five-minute recess to think it over. Confusion resulted from her answers as to date and place of certain parties in Washington at which Hiss and wife were guests.
