Caption: THE FIRST TIME she entered a photo contest, Dorene Emanuel (upper right), of 15426 Ohio, scored. Her main entry (upper left), called "Polar Portrait," won a prize in the International Zoo Photo Contest conducted by the Chicago Zoological Society. Dorene an amateur photographer for only two years, used a Rolleiflex camera, exposed 1/100th second at f.16, developed in microdol and printed on Kodabromide, G-2 paper. Her other entries (at bottom) were "Hold It, Please" (left), and "Buddies.".
