Caption: Craig Smith, executive vice-president of Berger-Lewiston-Smith, a Southfield real estate developement and management firm, has been appointed by Gov. Blanchard to the board of directors of the Michigan Strategic Fund. The fund, established in 1985, is designed to increase the availability of business financing in Michigan. Smith manages Berger-Lewiston Smith's $250 million portfolio of properties. In 1949, he was a founder of Sullivan-Smith Inc, a Dearborn residential property development company.
