Caption: New York, Jan. 14, 1952--'Explosive' Sweater Burns With A Rush--One of the inflammable "brush rayon" sweaters that have caused a small-scale national scare goes up in flames in less than a minute after being ignited outside manufacturer's place here. Test was made yesterday by New York City Fire Marshal Martin Scott. Left to right are Detective Felix Ruggieri, Philip Teffler, manufacturer of the sweater; Fireman Frank Healy, aide to Scott, and Scott. New York City officials planned to visit plant of manufacturer supplying the material to the sweater manufacturers.
