Caption: Washington, Sept. 19 – Proclamation honor his father – President Johnson today presented to John Eisenhower a copy of a proclamation honoring his father, Gen. Dwight D. Eisenhower. Attending the White House ceremony at left is Sen. Everett Dirksen, R-Ill. Johnson designated Oct. 13 week as "Salute to Eisenhower Week" in honor of the former President who is a patient in Walter Reed Army Hospital. The proclamation calls attention to General Eisenhower's 78th birthday which falls on Oct. 14.
