1968 Press Photo Upton Sinclair author The Jungle meat

Caption: Nov. 26, 1968--Author Dies--Upton Sinclair, a prolific author who earned the title "King of the Muckrakers" during a 63-year career, died yesterday at a nursing home near Bound Brook, NJ. He was 90. Sinclair wrote 89 full-length books. One of his best know works, "The Jungle" catapulted him to fame at the age of 28 in 1906. (This is a 1963 photo.).
