Caption: The Rev. D. Walton E. Cole, minister of first Congregational Church has summer to an "accelerated" program at his downtown church. Summer attendance has risen above the average for some winter months. Dr. Cole's days are filled with counseling appointments and the compilation of his summer sermons on "The secret of Effective Christian Living into book form. He is the speaker on the Detroit Council of Churches' "Little Church of the Air," WWJ, 9 a.m. Sundays during August.
