Caption: Dedication ceremonies were held Thursday for a new half-million dollar building for the Merrill-Palmer Institute. The building was a gift of Mrs. Rose P. Skillman (right) widow of Robert H. Skillman, former vice president of Minnesota Mining & Manufacturing Co. She is shown discussing the new building with Mrs. Pauline Knapp, president of the institute. The building, of Palmer and John R, will be open for inspection from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday.
