Caption: Cathaline Cantalupo, Newly appointed curator of costumes at the Detroit Historical Museum, she is in charge of a collection of 50,000 pieces of clothing dating from the 1830s all with some Michigan connection, Earlier this year, she worked at the Helen Clay Frick Foundation in Pittsburgh cataloging the Frick family collection of garments and accessories. In 1985, she was an archives apprentice at the Frank Lioyd Wright Foundation at Taliesin West, in Scottsdale, Ariz. She is bachelor's degree in social anthropology and art history from Bard College, Annandale – on – Hudson, N.Y.; graduate study, Costume Institute, Metropolitan Museum of Art, in co – operation with New York, New Brunswick, N.J. She's a doctoral candidate in costume studies at NYU.(10/23/1986).
