Description
Salem Methodist Cemetery - A grave marker in the Salem Methodist Cemetery along U.S. Highway 280 in Lee County leaves no doubt about the man's main interest in life. The grave-sized concrete slab is on concrete legs that resemble those of a pool table. According to historians, the marker was placed there by the family of Pandy Key (1839-53), a professional gambler, at his request. Mrs. Hugh Byrd of Riverview and Milo Howard, head of the state Department of Archives and History, view the century-old marker.

Photo measures 9.25 x 7.5 inches. Photo is dated 05-31-1977.
