Carlo Maria Giulini Celebrates The Music Of The Masters -- The world-class Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra and its preeminent music director, maestro Carlo Maria Giulini, return to public television for the remainder of the unique series "The Giulini Concerts: The Los Angeles Philharmonic Bicentennial Celebration with Carlo Maria Giulini." The four-part series, which began on November 25 with a tribute to Gioacchino Rossini, continues on December 23 with "The Giulini Concerts: Brahms.; on December 30 with "The Giulini Concerts: Beethoven.; and on January 6, 1982, with .The Giulini Concerts: Verdi.. All the programs air at 9:00 p.m. (ET)* on PBS. This special series, commemorating the 200th birthday of Los Angeles, is made possible by a grant from Getty Oil Company with additional funding by the National Endowment for the Arts. It is a co-production of KCET, Los Angeles, the Los Angeles Philharmonic Association and Polytel Music Productions.
