1951 Press Photo Collection of Easter greeting cards - nef73692

Every photo in our collection is an original vintage print from a newspaper or news service archive, not a digital image. Please see our FAQ for more information.

Description
To Americans everywhere the exchange of cheerful Easter greetings is one of our most beloved customs. The year-to-year trends in Easter card designs usually reflects the national temperament. Many of this year's greetings, for example, are illustrated with traditional Biblical scenes, angels, choir boys, and other reverent symbols. Publishers say that Easter cards with sincere messages of hope and faith are more popular than ever before. With Easter Sunday falling on March 25, the earliest it's arrived since 1940, the timeless custom of wishing family and friends a "Happy Easter" will be here before you know it!
