1938 Press Photo Baby born after mother's death by caesarian operation

A baby boy was delivered alive by a caesarian operation in a Carthage home, 30 minutes after the mother, Mrs. Cora Litzinger, 35, of Carthage, Ohio, had died in a heart attack. The baby was rushed to a Cincinnati hospital and placed in an oxygen tent, and may live, it is said by hospital authorities.
