Cement finisher Claus Gruenfeldt signals Tuesday that the precise level of concrete has been poured for the new Pettit National Ice Center in Milwaukee. Four hundred yards of concrete were poured to make a perfectly flat 100-by200-foot area for the ice sheet. The center is scheduled to open December 31.
