1987 Press Photo Mickey Neufeldt remains National Poster Child Milwaukee

Mickey Neufeldt The gift came early, in an announcement from the Muscular Dystrophy Association that Mickey will remain the national poster child in 1988. Mickey, a fourth grader at New Berlin's Orchard Lane school, won the hearts of television who watched the 1987 Jerry Lewis Labor Day telethon for the association. In Milwaukee, the telethon raised a record $793,979; the national total of $39,021,723 also seta record. Mickey can take part of the credit.
