Description
Caption: After 21 years of wheeling and dealing for local wheeler-dealers, Robert McCabe has announced his retirement as president of Detroit Renaissance. As chief executive of the nonprofit coalition of Detroit?s corporate leaders, McCabe helped organize work on the Renaissance Center, Elmwood III housing, riverfront apartments and condos, Harmonie Park, the Cultural Center, Belle Isle?s Scott Fountain, the Detroit Strategic Plan, and the Detroit Compact between business and the public schools. McCabe, who lives in Detroit, will remain on the job at least through the next summer?s Grand Prix, when a successor will be chosen. He said he is undecided about his retirement plans.
