1973 Press Photo Clinton Dam construction fuel shortage

Caption: Lawrence, Kan. Nov. 9 - Fuel Shortage Idles Dam Construction -- Between 45 and 50 earth overs at the Clinton dam construction site were idled Wednesday by a lack of diesel fuel. The shortage apparently came about when the distributor supplying the construction company reported he was out of fuel. The situation was eased when the office of Oil and Gas announced extra fuel authorizations for the dam project. However, no delivery date for the fuel has been specified.
