Driving the elegant pony phaeton in Greenfield Village(Dearborn Michigan) is Jacqueline Mallette of the Edison Institute School. Jacqueline and the pony phaeton will appear in the Country Fair of Yesteryear on May 18 in Greenfield Village, the school's contribution to Detroit's 250th birthday celebration this summer. In the background is the home of Noah Webster, famous compiler of the dictionaries. Besides the pony phaeton the fair will include early vintage cars and fire engines, a minstrel show, early American dances on the Village Green, and such craft demonstrations as glass blowing, weaving, pottery making, and others. These are permanent exhibits in Greenfield Village and the Edison Museum.
