Caption: Mrs Barry Goldwater., the wife of the 1964 Republican presidential candidate, underwent surgery in a Phoenix hospital Tuesday for a tumor.A spokesman at St. Joseph's Hospital, said Mrs Goldwater was in good condition after the nearly two-hour operation. The tumor was not malignant. Her husband and their two daughters, Mrs Thomas Ross and Mrs Richard Holt, stood by during the operation.
