Caption: Washington, May 19 - TELLS HOW TO RAISE BILLION IN TAXES -- Speaking with gestures, JOHN L. SULLIVAN, assistant secretary of the treasury, rold the house ways and means committee today that $1,096,000,000 would be realized by revision of the excess profits tax law and imposition of a six per cent income surtax.
