Caption: Detroit Firefighters rescue 5 from east side blaze - The Detroit, Michigan firefighters rescued 4 children and their mother, all unconscious, from a fire that engulfed an east side home Saturday morning. The fire in the 5500 block of Conner was apparently caused by a misplaced cigarette. Also injured in the fire was James Brown, 34. Fire fighter Richard Woodbury said another child, Lisa, 12 escaped unharmed. Michael Sabbath of Ladder Company 19 suffered second degree burns on his hand fighting the fire.
