1988 Press Photo Anthony Colunna Warren Butcher Surgery

Every photo in our collection is an original vintage print from a newspaper or news service archive, not a digital image. Please see our FAQ for more information.

Description
Caption: Anthony Colunna, of Warren, Michigan, had digits of his hand reattached but would lose his little finger and part of his thumb. The butcher mangled his hand in a band saw accident. It took Detroit Receiving Hospital surgeons 18 hours to re-attach the digits.
