Caption: Waco, Tex.-Jan. 28--Principal figure in the tug-of-war between Texas coach Darrell Royal and the New York Jets is George Sauer Jr., shown above relaxing at his Waco home during the semester braeak at Texas. As a youngster, Sauer often was a sideline figure at Baylor (see pictures in backgroun), where his father was head coach. Now the elder Sauer is personnel director of the Jets.
