Caption: After Glory, Ashes--Golfers Ben Smith (left) and Bob McMasters, who tied for State Amateur medalist honors Thursday before Smith beat McMasters by a stroke in a sudden-death playoff, weren't so successful Friday. Both breezed to victories in first-round matches at Port Huron's Black River CC, but bowed out in second-round play.
