1969 Press Photo Flint Teachers Junior College Contract

Caption: FLINT, Mich., Oct. 23--SERENADERS--Flint teachers holding candles sang "We Shall Overcome" as members of the school board left a meeting at Flint Junior College Wednesday night. The board drew catcalls and criticism from about 250 people at the meeting over the current teacher contract dispute. The city schools are still closed today and negotiations have been broken off. Schools have not been in sessions since Oct. 10.
