Caption: MAJOR REMODELING of the former Lippman Bldg. on Washington Boulevard at Michigan is underway. A $150,000 building permit was issued by the City to allow a development group headed by Lawrence H. LoPatin to convert the five-story structure into a travel and communications center. The first two tenants - Alitalia Italian Air Lines and KLM Royal Dutch Airlines-will move into the building in March LoPatin said. To be called Gateway Center, the building will have a restaurant with an international motif in addition to travel offices.
