Caption: Washington, March 20, 1967--Discusses Wiretapping--Atty. Gen. Ramsey Clark testifies today before a Senate Judiciary Subcommittee as it opened hearings on a bill which would prohibit wiretapping and electronic eavesdropping except in cases directly related to the national security. Clark told the senators the proposed legislation would provide an opportunity "to enlarge the public safety and the right of privacy.".
