Caption: (KX1) SPRINGFIELD, MO., Jan. 8 – DIFFERENT ATMOSPHERE- One-time West Coast racketeer Mickey Cohen talks with the press in a motel room after he had released from the U.S. Medical Center for Federal Prisoners. Cohen, who had been sentenced to fifteen years in prison for income tax evasion, served ten years, with five years off for good behavior. Cohen was met at the prison by his brother and sister-in-Law, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Cohen of Los Angeles, and a man who identifies himself as Jim Smith, a physical therapist.
