Description
Caption: Dr. Taliaferro Clark, left, began the Tuskegee Study of Untreated Syphilis in the Negro Male in 1932. Right, blood is take from a study participant in the early 1950's. Ironically, the study did not even answer, to a scientist's satisfaction, the question of what untreated syphilis does to the body.
