Mrs. Mildred McCulloch, a Mount Olive mother of two who refused to send her children to school, was released from the Jefferson County Jail Friday after serving a five day sentence for contempt of court. She drew the jail term when she talked to a broadcast reporter, in violation of a judge's instructions, during a hearing on her appeal of a conviction under the state compulsory school attendance law.
