This black and white marble statue by the sculptor Feliciano is a gift from Spain to Birmingham's Smolian International Friendship and Peace Garden. In the city Tuesday to present the gift was the Marquis de cassa Mena, an official with Spain's consulate in New Orleans. The The University of Alabama in Birmingham is seeking gifts from 58 foreign countries to put in the special international theme garden of Smolian House, the school's meeting and eating place for students, faculty and staff.
