Penny White, a 17-year-old senior at John Carroll High School, was chosen Jefferson County's Junior Miss last weekend in competition at Birmingham-Southern College. She was one of 30 contestants in the annual event sponsored by the Birmingham Jaycees. As Jefferson County's Junior Miss she has received $2,800 in college scholarships. She will take part in the Alabama Junior Miss competition next month. Miss White is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Johnny White of Forest Park.
