With school days come a lot of activity, and students from throughout the Birmingham area become involved in a variety of things, outside the regular school work. Whether it's fund-raising or playing in a band, it all takes dedication and rewards are as different as the activities. Here are a couple of pictures that depict students on the go, doing things for their schools and being proud to be a part of those schools. Brighton High School recently won a trophy given by the United Way campaign to the schools reaching the highest potential in the fund drive. Admiring the Potential Award Trophy in the picture at top are, from left, Mrs. Lucille Weaver, Carolyn Thomas, Principal Levi Satesfield Jr., Edwena Reed and Doris Harris.
