Birmingham, Alabama Universities:: Samford University (Concert Hall) Milton J. Brooks Memorial Pipe Organs Wright Concert Hall. The Brooks memorial pipe organ in the Samford University Concert Hall will be inaugurated next Sunday at 3 with a service of dedication including choirs and members of the Birmingham Symphony, directed by Irwin Ray, assistant professor of music. Edward Tibbs, University organist and designer of the organ, will be soloist in the Hanson Concerto for Organ, Strings and Harp, Handel's Organ Concerto, Op. 4, and the Poulenc Concerto for Organ, Strings and Timpani. The A Cappella Choir will sing Sowerby's Benedictus es Demine. Vaughan William's "All Hail the Power" will be the opening musical selection. the public is invited without charge.
