Postmaster Gen James A Farley is shown addressing the more than 1,000 leading Democrats gathered to celebrate Thomas Jefferson's 195th Birthday Anniversary. He hinted that certain business groups have been sabotaging the Roosevelt program. The dinner, at which the new deal was extolled as the "Golden Opportunity" for business, launched Pres Roosevelt's fight to retain Democratic control of Congress in the elections next fall.
