1938 Press Photo Mr. Wesley Randall who was charged of kidnapping his wife

Mr. Wesley Randall, age 44, alias Frank Smith was arrested on February 19th on a bench warrant from Batavia New York, charging him with the kidnapping of Ehel Ahl, then 14 and now 22, his wife and the mother of four children. Randall said that they were married by a Justice of Peace in Kansas in July 1929, shortly after their "elopement" of "kidnapping" Te unusual aspect of the case is that of a man being charged with kidnapping the woman to whom he as been married for eight years and has borne his four children.
