Bidding their grandparents bon voyage in New York shortly before General George C. Marshall and Mrs. Marshall sailed on the liner United States for Europe Friday are the grandchildren of the former secretary of state and chief of staff. In front (from left) are James Winn, 10; Eleen Winn, 4, and Katherine Winn, 9. With the Marshalls in rear is Mary Lee, Annandale, Virginia, a great-granddaughter of Confederate General Robert E. Lee, who is accompanying the Marshalls. As chairman of the American Battle Monuments Commission, General Marshal Thursday will dedicate the first World War II memorial to American dead overseas at Suresnes, near Paris.
