Governor-elect Thomas E. Dewey of New York State, and his wife are shown as they greeted jubilant friends and campaign workers at Republican Headquarters at the Hotel Roosevelt, today, shortly after Dewey's victory had been conceded by Democratic Candidate John J. Bennett, Junior. Asked i he thought he would make a good Governor, Dewey told reporters, "I think the people will be able to judge after four years."
