Adam Clayton Powell who backed down from a promise to walk the streets of Harlem on the Palm Sunday preached a brief sermon at Bimini where he has been living to avoid arrest on a criminal contempt charge. Powell cancelled his promised trip to Harlem last Friday announcing his arrest would cause rioting which he did not want to start.
