This picture, taken in 1963 shows Betty Ann Patterson, who died at the age of 9 Saturday from deadly cystic fibrosis disease. Her brother, Richard, now 12, also has the disease that has previously taken the lives of three other daughters of the William I Patterson family in Sterling, North Dakota.
