Mother Teresa, 70, founder of the Missionaries of Charity, kneels before Pope Paul VI to kiss a statuette of Jesus handed her by the Pontiff in Vatican City Wednesday. The Pope presented the Albanian-born nun the first Pope John XXIII Peace Prize and hailed her efforts on behalf of the poor and the sick in India.
