Captain Dick Merrill, 67, a veteran of 41 years of commercial airplane piloting, relaxes in his New York office yesterday after announcing his retirement. He makes his last flight for Eastern Air Lines today from New York to Miami, hos home. He estimates he has flown eight million miles in 37,000 hours aloft.
