Newly-elected Illinois Governor Otto Kerner, left, and Senator Paul Douglas who was re-elected, congratulate each other early today after defeating their Republican opponents. Kerner, former Cook County Judge, defeated Governor William Stratton, who was seeking a third term. Douglas won over Samuel W. Witwer.
